Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla: "Tesla's valuation could reach up to $30 trillion if we execute well."

When you calculate in billions , it's normal not to grasp their true meaning. And if things escalate into trillions , we could practically go crazy. This is what happens to us with Elon Musk 's latest statements, in which he highlights the future potential of his flagship company, Tesla , and his medium- to long-term aspiration : a stock market valuation of between $25 and $30 trillion.
We're not making anything up. It's all there, on their social network X , formerly known as Twitter. On July 25, the bomb dropped. Investment director Keith Fitz-Gerald compared Steve Jobs to Musk, stating: “ Betting against Elon Musk is like betting against Steve Jobs .” And then he made public his assessment of the company's future : “I think Tesla is heading towards a $20 trillion valuation,” he declared. Musk took up the challenge and replied smugly: “Extreme execution is required, but a $20 trillion valuation for Tesla is possible,” he stated in his first tweet.
The truth is that Musk has reason to be proud. He recently signed a deal with Samsung worth over $16.5 billion for the Korean giant to produce the new AI6 chips for future Teslas . Needless to say, Elon Musk is a firm believer in autonomous cars for the not-too-distant future. He believes he can dominate the automotive market if he is the first to cross the finish line with a Level 5 autonomous car . This experience will also serve him well in selling his future Optimus humanoid robots , with which he hopes to dominate the robotics market as well.
So if Elon Musk's projections come true , he may be right and his company could be worth the aforementioned $20 trillion in the future. Or even more, because in his latest revision, he added another $10 trillion to the sum: " Tesla's valuation could reach between $25 and $30 trillion if we do it right." Of course, Musk, appropriately, didn't give dates for his prediction.
Okay, that's all very well, but how much is Tesla currently trading at? Its current valuation is around $1 trillion . So Elon Musk intends to increase its valuation by 25 (or 30) times in the coming years. Putting all this into perspective, the combined value of the 10 most valuable companies in the world today is around $23 trillion.

But let's get this straight: Nvidia, the most valuable company in the world today, is currently valued at $4 trillion , and its main focus is technology. Meanwhile, Musk continues on his own: "Those two elements together (talking about the autonomous car and Optimus) could take Tesla's stock to crazy levels ," the entrepreneur said at a virtual conference organized by the Tesla Owners Silicon Valley association. We'll see how crazy they will be .
